Michigan Vacation
Hey Everyone! Just returned from a 3 week vacay in The Yoop visiting with all my family and friends. I took the kids and Trav stayed behind and was a very busy little beaver! He tore up the carpet in the living room/dining room and the tile/linoleum in the entry way and kitchen. He then installed new flooring and new baseboards and it looks AMAZING!! What a handyman I have :0)
Will be posting pics from the vacation and of the new flooring as soon as I can. But as you all know, that could be tomorrow or next month?! Sooooo...I am going to take the easy route and put up my sister's blog address. She has posted a ton of pics of all the kids when we were up in Michigan and also of their vacation here in Vegas when we celebrated Dalton's 2nd birthday. Hope she doesn't mind! Backyard Winter Wonderland!
My parents must have brought the snow with them from The Yoop but it was WONDERFUL!!! Anything other than sunshine is a welcome change of pace in Vegas. My parents flew in at noon on Christmas Day and we all opened gifts and had a deee-ish dinner - courtesy of Trav's amazing fried turkey (see action shots that follow - ha!). We sure enjoyed having them around and they even let me & Trav sneak away for a night at the Red Rock Station and Casino! We had dinner, bowled, gambled and even got to sleep in the next a.m. Thanks, Mom & Dad!! It was a fabulous visit and we can't wait to visit again...hopefully they'll sneak in a spring trip before we all come to The Yoop in July (hint hint).

My parents bought the kids a playground that fits under our back patio...Dalton LOVES it!!
It All Starts Here
Trav decided to fry a turkey for Xmas dinner for the first time and got a recipe from his dad. Soak in Zesty Italian dressing overnight and then completely cover in cayenne pepper. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
