35 Weeks

Feeling large and not so in charge in this pic...it was taken Friday, January 23rd and I'm looking tired and chubby but oh well - the end is NEAR! ha

It's a Baby Shower!

My friends Michelle, Misty & Dawn threw my FABULOUS baby shower on Saturday, January 24th at Cafe Baba Reeba on the "Strip". It was an incredible event that was attended by my mom, grandma, two aunts and cousin from out of town and all of my dear friends here in Las Vegas. I am so grateful for all my wonderful friends and family!!!!!

What's On the Menu?

The shower was held at my FAVORITE restaurant, Cafe Baba Reeba, which is right on the Las Vegas Strip. Each of us chose a fabulous entree of our liking and all the feedback was that the food was fabulous!! Not to mention the yummy pitchers of sangria...which I could not dive into at this event but have in the past and will again in the future!

Good Enough to Eat

And eat we did! These adorable cupcakes had all different jungle animals on top and were available in vanilla AND chocolate...D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Party Favors

I just love the little party favor box that was filled with animal crackers...right in theme with my nursery...clever party planners for sure.

How Can I EVER Thank You?

What can I say? My girls Dawn, Michelle and Misty just went ALL OUT and made this shower the most memorable, enjoyable, special event a mother-to-be could ask for! Don't know what I did to deserve such wonderful friends but I am THANKFUL. Love you, Ladies!!

Me & Grammy-to-Be

Me and Rady (a.k.a. my mom) enjoying ourselves. I was SO thrilled that she was able to fly out from Michigan and share this special event with me. I love you, Mom!!

Strike a Pose

My Aunt Sandy flew in from Colorado with my Grandma and also with her 13 yr old daughter Brooke/my cousin, for the shower. We are having one big girlie sleepover at my house with all of us and my mom and Auntie Donnette. Not so sure my husband is sharing in the joy though? Poor Brooke is missing from these pics cuz she was my star photographer for the event. THANKS, BROOKIE!!

What Double Chins?

Me and Aunt Sandy are striking an attractive pose that eliminates any possibe chance of a double chin. Sexy, don't you think?

We Don't Look Alike, Do We?!

Can't see the resemblance here, can ya? My mom and her mom - or soon to be Great Grandmama and Grammy. My grandma flew in from Colorado to be with us for the shower.

Through the Years

Auntie Donnette flew in all the way from Ohio to be with us for the shower. She and mom have been best friends since high school....like they say, old friends are the dearest friends!

Just Call Me Buddha

Apparently Mom & Auntie Donnette think that by rubbing my big ol belly that they will miraculously receive some type of luck? Although Mom did win the door prize later on. Hmmmm....

Don't Drink the Water

Or else....Jenn's baby boy is due to make his appearance on April 1st...no foolin'! tee hee

Plenty to Spare...

Cleaveage, that is...no loss of boobs in this photo with Lisa, me and Rhonda!

Say WHAT??

Suzette definitely has the attention of the table (check out Vern & Auntie Donnette!) but Baby Matthew has his eye on her water glass!

Working the Room

My Best Girls

I Won! I Won! I Won!

Rady (a.k.a. my mom) was the lucky winner with the "dirty" diaper and got the fabulous Philosophy products gift set. No, we didn't fix it so she'd win either...although it did look rather suspicious!? ha

Let's Get This Party Started

I couldn't wait to start ripping open the beautifully wrapped gifts and gift bags that everyone so generously got for us.

What's In a Name?

Everyone was just amazed and floored by the gorgeous cross-stitch that Lisa did for Baby Dalton's nursery. This picture does not do it justice - it is STUNNING and will hang over his little crib.

That's What I'm Talkin' About!

Gotta love this onesie from Auntie Donnette that says, "Daddy and I agree - Mommy is the Boss!" Sounds great in theory but we'll see how that pans out once THE BOSS arrives.

Grrrrrr...

This adorable blankie is from Misty's mom, Judy - who has graciously offered to babysit Dalton once he arrives. You can bet we will take her up on this offer, esp since she lives right around the corner. Watch out, Judy!

Thanks, Vernie!

We love the personalized giraffe name plate from Veronica and it will match the nursery perfectly!

A Labor of Love

Thanks Auntie Donnette for the beautiful homemade blanket she made for Baby Dalton!

Need I Say More?

Leave it to Michelle to get creative with the BUTT PASTE! haha
