Summer Vacation in Michigan
We flew to Michigan the end of June not only to see my family but also to attend my 20 year high school reunion. Hard to believe that it has been that long since I left home. Where does the time go?? We had a wonderful time at the reunion dinner with old friends and got to meet their spouses, which was really neat also. The weather was very cooperative most of the vacation and the boys, Dalton and cousin Lauer, got to spend countless hours outside at my parents' place out in the woods riding the dune buggy and 4-wheeler. Dalton saw his first parade on the 4th of July and even took his first swim in a lake when we went to Lac La Belle. It was a great vacation with all the family!!

We had a fabulous time at the reunion dinner held at the Calumet Golf Course and actually closed down the place!

Good 'Ol Lac La Belle
After our Copper Harbor run we stopped off at Lac La Belle, where my grandparents have had a cottage on the lake since my dad was a little boy. We hadn't been here in many, many years so decided to stop in. Dalton LOVED the water and it was nice to visit the camp again - brought back many memories. Especially of my Grandma Helen, who passed away in 1995. She just loved spending time out there....

Swingin'
The three of us went up to Copper Harbor one afternoon to look around, have lunch and go explore the playground at the little Copper Harbor schoolhouse.
