Oh Baby!!!

Miss Delaney Eloise Snyder was born on Wednesday, September 15th at 6:32 p.m. She weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 17 1/2 inches long. I was so thrilled to see that she has dark hair and actually resembles me in some way! ha Although she does have this beautiful olive-y complexion that I do NOT have but it reminds me of her Aunt Melissa's complexion when she was a baby.

We found out on Sept 10th that we were going to move up the csection/hysterectomy to Sept 15th due to complications with my placenta/uterus (placenta accreta). Talked to my mom that Friday late afternoon and was picking her up at the Las Vegas airport the next day at 11 a.m. Go Mom!!! What can I say - a girl just wants her Mama when things get scary and tough :0)

Delaney's birth and my surgeries went off without any problems and we were so blessed and relieved that all of us were healthy. I had some pain management issues but they were remedied and we went home on Saturday, Sept 18th. Mom stayed with us until the 21st and we were so thankful to have her with us. We could not have done it all without her, that's for sure.

We're now settling in with our newest member of our "team", as Travis calls our family. Dalton is adjusting ok - he's approaching the Terrible Twos a bit early, I think, since he won't actually be 2 until late February! ha In his defense, poor little guy, he is cutting 3 molars at once and now has to share his Momma and Da-Da with this little thing that gets to be held all the time and has to eat all the time. So Dalton is doing pretty well sharing his parents, I would say.

Luckily Travis is on FMLA until early November so he and Dalton are best buddies. Trav takes him out swimming in the afternoons and out to the park in the evenings so they stay busy. Trav also does the late night feeding for Delaney so I get to get some uninterrupted sleep myself. We have gotten into a pretty comfortable groove and are just enjoying our new family life with both babies. Feeling so blessed and lucky to have such a wonderful and attentive husband who also happens to be an AMAZING father who does anything and everything with these babies - diaper changes, feedings, baths, taking them to doc's appts...you name it, he does it. I love you, Babe!!!

I'm going to try to keep the photos coming on a regular basis so you all can see Dalton and Delaney grow. Of course this task is easier said than done, right?! haha We are looking forward to having Papa Dick and Grandma B Snyder visit us next weekend and then Grandpa Boyer will be here on the 23rd to meet his newest grandchild too. We are LOVED!! Speaking of, thanks to everyone who was so supportive and attentive to us all through the entire stressful pre/post surgery/delivery situations. Obviously all your thoughts and prayers WORKED because we are all home safe and healthy. We have such wonderful family and friends and are soooo thankful for you all!!
