Feeding Time With Grandma
My mom flew out with less then 24 hours notice when she found out that the csection/hysterectomy was going to be moved up to Sept 15th instead of the 24th. She was a GODSEND and we could not have done it without her. She would stay with Dalton at night/in the mornings and then come to the hospital and spend the days/evenings taking care of me. She flew in on Sept 11th and did SO much for us - she cleaned, cooked, organized...you name it, she did it. We were so sad to see her leave on the 21st and are eternally grateful she helped us so much and also got to be there to meet her first granddaughter in person! We love and miss you Mom/Grandma!!! Can't wait to see you in Vegas for Christmas...
Crazy Hat
I had ordered three of these hats online before her birth - they are the standard hospital cap but with some fabulous flair! One is a bow (see Aunt Jemima post below) and the other two are flowers. Of course we normally put it on correctly but it was all crazy in this picture. Can't tell you how many compliments/inquiries we got about the bow hat from all the staff while we were in the hospital. Delaney and her hat were a big hit!
She's Got Your Nose
Little Delaney has Grandma Boyer's cute little pug nose - she also sleeps with her arms up next to her head like Grandma and unfotunately she is also a NIGHT OWL like her Grandma . Now only if Grandma lived closer so she could come over and hang out with her little night owl! :0)

Eating Can Be Fun Sometimes!
We are trying to give Dalton some "freedom" with his food since he is such a poor/picky eater. This means we are letting him feed himself with utensils and lots of time, with his hands...which, as you can see, gets pretty messy.
Ready for Some Fun?
Dalton loves the water and Travis takes him out nearly every day to play and mostly to tire him out for his afternoon nap! ha He's quite the daredevil and loves to be thrown up in the air by Daddy. We plan to enroll him in swimming lessons this winter once it is too cool to swim out in the back yard. He'll be a pro by next summer for sure!
Flyin' High
It looks like Dalton is hitting his head on the umbrella but it is just my fabulous photo-taking...he's actually nowhere near the umbrella so rest easy, Grandma Boyer! haha
Hate to Break it to Ya...
...but Nigel - you are NOT a cat and should NOT be perched up on the couch! As you can see - we don't get to enjoy the nice fabric of our sectional because we cover it with blankets. Both our dogs have been allowed on the furniture since they were pups so we created these monsters...they are both 11 years old so I'm thinking it IS too late to teach an old dog new tricks.
Ooohhh...My Favorite!
Dalton is the WORST eater ever and we struggle daily to get him to eat something other than cheese and yogurt. However, he has taken a liking to chicken nuggets (not the most nutritious choice) and I think he just eats them so he can play around in the ketchup. As you will see in the pics that follow.
Car Ride
Delaney all dolled up and ready to go with Daddy to her first doctor's appointment - she was 1 week old...

Summer Vacation in Michigan
We flew to Michigan the end of June not only to see my family but also to attend my 20 year high school reunion. Hard to believe that it has been that long since I left home. Where does the time go?? We had a wonderful time at the reunion dinner with old friends and got to meet their spouses, which was really neat also. The weather was very cooperative most of the vacation and the boys, Dalton and cousin Lauer, got to spend countless hours outside at my parents' place out in the woods riding the dune buggy and 4-wheeler. Dalton saw his first parade on the 4th of July and even took his first swim in a lake when we went to Lac La Belle. It was a great vacation with all the family!!
